1953 FORD F-100
OWNER: JOHNNY MENDIOLA
36 years ago I paid $50.00 for my truck.  My family and friends laughed at me and asked "Why did you bring home that piece of junk?"
Well, thanks to the help and encouragement of my good friend Johnny Bertao, we rebuilt it from the frame up. From start to finish it took us 20+ years of planning and 8 years (working on Saturdays and Sundays) to complete "Johnny's Mistress"

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping in to Vintage Cruising.
The online magazine for motoring enthusiasts.

This is the only page available at this time but we are planning the launch of Vol. I – Issue 1 soon.

The primary focus will be on the building and use of vintage vehicles.
I'm wording it this way because I not only want to feature cars, trucks, and bikes, but vintage travel trailers and RVs also.

Why an online magazine?

  • The costs involved are considerably less than a print magazine. And FREE to you.
  • We will maintain an archive of all our articles so you won't have to dig out that back issue of your print magazine from under your shoes in the closet.
  • Today's internet will allow us to do things we could never do in print.

What are we going to cover?

  • Vehicles that are built to drive while looking nice at the same time.
  • Restored, Resto-Rods, Hotrods, Rat Rods, Bikes, Trailers, Motorhomes, or... Show us something unique.
  • Cruise-ins, Rod Runs, Day Trips and Tours.
  • How-to's, tips and tricks
  • A calendar of coming events
  • And anything else we think might interest you.

Can we cover your event or feature your car?
This is the World Wide Web. We are everywhere. Muhaw, haw, haw (That could sound ominous)

We are in Central California and are limited in the number of things we can do and places we can be at the same time. However, we are looking for contributors everywhere. Contact Us for more information.

What we want is intelligently written articles with good photos. Unfortunately, we can't offer you remuneration in the form of money. All we can offer at this time is our heart felt thanks and a credit on your resume.

What, no newsletter?
This is a work in progress. We will eventually have one but I need to learn to type faster. We will also have an RSS feed.

Why no forums?
Forums take a lot of time and energy to monitor. Frankly, we would rather be out where the action is, taking pictures, and writing about you
rather than refereeing arguments about which make is better.

You can still give us your comments. And you will be able to read a sampling.

And now, back to work.

1951 FORD COUPE
OWNERS:
BILL & SHANE AKERS
The story of this custom '51 has taken many twists and turns over the years.  Much of the car's history has been lost, but I'll tell you the story of what is known - or at least thought to be known - about how this very "original" custom came about.

The car was a stock daily driver until the mid-sixties, when a young man decided to build a one-of-a-kind custom.  He did little more than a cool custom paint job - which still remains today - and some slight body work on the front of the car (French headlights,  hood work, removal of all Ford emblems, etc.) ...
